The History of the Mongo Bat
The Mongo Bat was developed in the 1980's by Aviva Sports, which is now defunct and is not related to the Aviva Sports firm that sells outdoor and water sports equipment.
Aviva and the Mongo Bat were absorbed by Mattel in the late 1980's.
Mattel discontinued development and sales of the Mongo Bat in the mid-1990's.
In 2008, a Mongo Bat was discovered in an attic, and a movement was born to BRING BACK THE MONGO BAT.
