People Want the Mongo Bat!

Jerry posted an inquiry about the Mongo Bat on the Ask Dr. Toy Website and here are highlights from one of the responses he got:
I was hoping to find one to surprise him with as he and his wife have helped me tremendously, but no avail. As you probably know, they ceased production in the early 90’s – one Internet source is Erik Pronko, but he has not returned any of my emails so I’m not sure of status there.
Mr Maslar, please let me know if you ever come across one of these. I have been searching since last summer and have pretty much given up. I was trying to locate one for a close friend of mine who speaks very sentimentally about the “Mongo Bat”. My friend is a Baptist preacher who led a youth group many years ago, and he often tells me what good times they all had playing ball with the Mongo Bat.
